The Sistranser Bach ''also'': ''Sistrans Creek'' originates near Sistrans Alpine Hut in Tyrol, Austria, at an altitude of 1.400 – 1.600 metres. The Creek is formed of 5 source creeks of nearly the same size, which look like a fan on the map. It flows from north to south and passes through the villages of Sistrans and Aldrans. Near Castle Ambras the Creek splits in two arms. The ''side arm'' flows in the Castle park and forms the „Castle Fall“, a waterfall with a height of 20 metres. This is one of the most interesting points of the Creek. The ''main arm'' flows along the Castle wall and merges in the district Amras (Innsbruck) from the right into the Lanser brook, which merges again into the Inn River. The creek has a length of . The Sistranser Bach has excellent water quality: A Grade, and provides the surrounding villages with 5 water reservoirs with drinking water. Even small fishes like trout can be found in the creek.
